School Renamed: Freedom Valley School

May 1, 2026

The school setting is now officially named Freedom Valley School. Every surface of the site has been updated — hero, characters section, devlog CTAs, lore graph, and meta descriptions. The Steam checklist is 11/11 on both Store Presence and Game Build, with Valve review submission as the immediate next step ahead of the Jun 1 launch target.

Honey Herbert Stand Rig Submitted to Logan

April 13, 2026

Honey Herbert's updated stand rig package was submitted to Logan today in both Blender and FBX formats after the rig was rebuilt with a cleaner standard setup and independent legs. That resolves the earlier foot-control blocker, gives Logan the current handoff files directly, and keeps Herbert moving into the next animation pass alongside the shared gameplay-driven animation system already running for Jerry and Bruno in Unity. The team is also continuing scarier material and FX passes so each animatronic lands with a stronger horror identity while still fitting into one shared character pipeline.

Animation Pipeline: 17 GLB Exports + Synagen Integration

March 28, 2026

Batch-exported all 17 character animations from Blender 5.1 to GLB format using an AI-assisted Python script — 11 Jerry animations and 6 Bruno animations converted in under 30 seconds. The GLB files are now loaded into Synagen, our custom WebGPU engine built on Babylon.js, where both characters run side-by-side with real-time animation blending. Crossfade between idle, walk, run, jumpscare, and look animations using weighted interpolation. Unity upgraded to 6000.4.0f1 (latest LTS). Steam Coming Soon page assets in progress — store descriptions written, capsule art generation next.

Horror Glass Design System + Interactive Effects

March 24, 2026

Introduced the Horror Glass design language across the entire site. The mobile navigation now features a full glassmorphism treatment with backdrop blur, gradient overlays, and neon-glow hover states inspired by cyberpunk aesthetics but tuned to Jerry's blood red and electric purple palette. Added interactive effects: 3D card tilt on hover with perspective tracking, mouse-follow radial glow on feature and character cards, animated gradient backgrounds, magnetic button pull, scroll-reveal animations, and heading glow on viewport entry. That same design-system push now anchors Vixel, the project's horror-design and protocol overseer responsible for audits, SSOT checks, naming consistency, and making sure public-facing Jerry content ships with cohesive assets and build discipline. Fixed the offcanvas menu overlay bug caused by CSS backdrop-filter creating containing blocks. All effects respect prefers-reduced-motion for accessibility. The Steam Coming Soon page is in active prep for Sprint 2 — store-facing marketing assets and capsule art are next.

Website Overhaul: Component Architecture + Horror UI Refresh

March 2026

Major site refactor — split monolithic SCSS into 10 component partials (buttons, navbar, cards, panels, animations, typography, titles, footer, utilities, glow system). Rebuilt the devlog system with curated pagination and tag filtering. Upgraded the build pipeline with PurgeCSS, expanded audit checks, and hardened the deploy script with SSH preflight validation. Workspace now runs on the Void Circuit theme from Synagraphic Themes.
